Welcome to Year 4!

The Year 4 team consists of class teachers Mrs Sparkes and Mrs Tarry, and Teaching Assistant Mrs Gallagher. 

Please take a look at the Knowledge and Skills documents on the 'Curriculum' tab, which outline all the exciting things the children will be learning this term.

Here are a few things that might be helpful to note:

Our PE day is Tuesday and we would be very grateful if you could ensure the children have their kit in ready for this.

Our Homework timetable is available to view by clicking on the 'Information' tab. This has the hand out and hand in days laid out and also provides the children with a suggested timetable for completing their homework over the week.

If you are having trouble using Google Classroom, please see our Video Resource Centre (Menu - Children - Video Resource Centre), where there is a video that talks you through how to log in and use it. If you or the children have any trouble, please do contact us so that we can support you as quickly as possible.

The children have been provided with a pencil case and all the necessary stationery for the year. Children in Year 4 begin to work towards their pen license. This is awarded when they are able to demonstrate consistently good handwriting and presentation throughout their work. This year, we will provide your child with their first handwriting pen (when they receive their pen licence) but we ask that you provide any spare for when the pen runs out or if it gets lost. We recommend the blue Berol handwriting pens, which can be purchased at most shops with a stationery section.
