We made our own 'paint' like Stone Age people did to create cave paintings. You can see the finished products at our Quest afternoon!

In our novel, Storm by Kevin Crossley-Holland, the main character, Annie, has a difficult decision to make; go out in the storm to help her sister or stay at home. We thought of reasons why she should go out and shouldn't. Then we shared our thoughts in a conscience alley. 'Annie' walked through listening to our ideas.

Earlier this week, in the brief sunny spells, we went on a shadow hunt. We identified where the light source and shadows were and what opaque object was making the shadow.
We thought about how we could make our shadows change and noticed that when we faced the light source we couldn't see our shadows; they were behind us.

In LORIC this term we are learning how to be good leaders and good team members. We were challenged to work together to build the tallest tower that we could using only newspaper and sticky tape! Every team had a leader. The results varied between teams but everyone worked very well together without ANY arguing!
