Our remote learning provision on the Doodle platform ensures continuity for students when on-site learning is disrupted. Remote learning is implemented in two scenarios:
Site or Partial Site Inaccessibility: If the entire school or specific parts are closed preventing learning from taking place, students will use Doodle to access their curriculum on these days.
Individual Absences: If a student cannot attend school due to extenuating circumstances but is still able to learn, they will complete their lessons remotely via Doodle.
In most cases, students will engage in Doodle’s daily practice area, dedicating time to English maths and spelling practice. This area provides a personalised learning plan tailored to each student’s needs.
For some students, specific assignments will mirror the class’s ongoing curriculum, ensuring they keep pace with their peers. Teachers monitor each child’s progress and adjust their program as necessary.
Additionally, we encourage students to increase time spent on reading and platforms like Numbots or Times Tables Rock Stars, optimising their learning during remote periods.
This structured approach ensures our students continue to progress academically while maintaining strong engagement with their education.
In line with government recommendations, our remote curriculum ensures that learning remains high-quality, engaging and reflective of each student’s developmental needs.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to support a productive learning environment at home, and our staff are available for guidance on how to use Doodle and address any challenges with digital access.
