PE

Our PE lesson takes place on Fridays with Mr Foster, so please remember to wear PE kit to school every Friday. As the weather gets colder, this will include a tracksuit to keep warm. You might also want to pop a spare pair of socks in the school bag in case of soggy feet!

Homework timetable

Homework runs from Monday - Monday. 

New spellings are available on EdShed on Monday after school and will be introduced in class on Tuesday, They will be tested the following Monday. Up until October half term, a weekly maths OR grammar task will be set on EdShed. After half term, this will change to a maths task AND a grammar task per week. 

Children are expected to read for 20 minutes and record it in their planner at least 5 times per week, and to play Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRS) for at least 21 minutes per week (3 minutes per day.) See below for a suggested TTRS practice schedule to prepare for the Year 4 Multiplication Tables Check.

Year 4 Multiplication Tables Check (MTC)

The MTC is a statutory on-screen test that takes place for Year 4 pupils in June. Children use an iPad to answer 25  times table questions up to 12 x 12. They have 6 seconds to answer each question. The check should take no longer than 5 minutes to complete.

The suggested practice schedule below has been developed by the people at TTRS to maximise practice time at home and in class. Please don't hesitate to ask one of us if you have any questions relating to the MTC.
