17.12.19: It has been a fantastic day in Year 1. We saw Father Christmas and then we got to wear our special hats when eating our yummy Christmas dinners!
16.12.19: It has been party time in Year 1. We iced and decorated a cake, which tasted yummy. We then had lots of fun dancing and playing party games. Merry Christmas everyone!
10.12.19: In maths today we began to explore finding a half of different amounts.
6.12.19: Here we are looking very smart for our performance of 'The Bossy Fairy'
6.12.16: Today in PE we continued to work on throwing and stopping the ball. We did a good job at using the tennis rackets to hit the ball to our partners.
26.11.19: In our English learning today we worked as a team to sequence the events from the story of 'The Three Little Pigs'. We then went on to think about how the little pigs felt when their mother told them that it was time to leave the family home.
19.11.19: Yesterday we received a letter from The Troll from the story of 'The Three Billy Goats'. He needed our help because his bridge had collapsed! As part of our English learning we wrote letters telling him how to fix it. In science today we designed our very own bridges.
15.11.19: PE for this term is about throwing, hitting and catching. In our lesson today we practised throwing the balls using a chest pass. We had to remember to get our hands ready to catch the ball safely.
8.11.19: Look at our wonderful display about the book 'The Robot and the Bluebird'. We wrote character descriptions about the robot and we thought about the feelings of the bluebird.
4.11.19: Today we got to share our amazing power projects with the children and adults in Year 3 and Year 4. We were all confident to talk about the great learning that we did at home.
31.10.19: In maths we used our skills as a 'Number Ninja' to support us with taking away.
16.10.19: In Re today we learned about the story of Noah's Ark. We had lots of fun creating beautiful art work.
10.10.19: In maths today we have been learning to takeaway using lots of different strategies. We had lots of fun becoming a 'human number line' and practised jumping back. '
7.10.19: This week we started reading the story ' Jack and the Flumflum Tree' by Julia Donaldson. We began by looking at a picture of Jack's Granny, who was covered in purple spots and predicted what could be wrong with her. Here are some of our super ideas.
Voices of Water
1.10.19: In English we have been learning a poem called 'Voices of water'. We used different actions and musical instruments to bring our performance to life. Enjoy!
24.9.19:Science has been lots of fun! We had to find the best material to make a waterproof coat. We tested lots of everyday materials to see which one was the best.
18.9.19: In maths we have been working hard to identify numbers that are greater or less than other numbers.
