PIN badges, which stand for Personal Improvement and Notability, are a recognition system designed to acknowledge children who demonstrate notable progress in their personal skills or character.
Each child is provided with a lanyard in school where they can proudly display the PIN badges they earn. These awards are presented during the PRIDE awards assembly held every Friday.
Children can earn PINs in various ways, including completing additional learning challenges at home through POWer Projects or Rainbow Challenges. While these tasks are optional, they are thoughtfully designed to reinforce classroom learning and foster personal development, promoting engagement and encouraging children to challenge themselves. Additionally, PINs can be earned through volunteering, engaging in school activities, and meeting specific targets, such as those set for Accelerated Reading and behavior expectations.
This multi-faceted approach to earning PINs supports a culture of achievement and personal growth within the school community.
