Welcome to St Anselm’s Catholic Primary School.
On behalf of all the children, staff, and Governors, I would like to warmly welcome you to St Anselm's Catholic Primary School website. We are an outstanding Catholic school (CSI, February 2024) with a good rating from Ofsted (June 2019), and we are very proud of this and all that we can offer.
We are delighted to have you explore our vibrant and successful school community. At St Anselm’s, we are dedicated to building a strong partnership with your family to ensure your child enjoys their time here and flourishes both academically and personally. We believe that this partnership is crucial to your child's education and success.
As a Catholic school, our community is united in learning, praying, and having fun together. Our Mission Statement, deeply rooted in Gospel Values, guides everything we do.
We aim to provide a curriculum that unlocks each child's potential, helping them become life-long learners. Our unique 'Rainbow Curriculum' is designed to foster a wide range of life skills across all areas of learning. We strive to develop not just the cognitive and academic abilities of our children, but also their happiness, identity, social and emotional development, physical and mental health, and spiritual growth. Through our 'Inspire to Aspire' approach, children learn from significant people and events in history and become good friends, deep thinkers, and morally responsible citizens who are prepared to make positive contributions to society.
As Headteacher, I am privileged to lead this exceptional school, where we have fantastic children, dedicated staff, and supportive parents and governors. Together, we form a special family and community that nurtures excellence and supports children in learning for life. Our commitment to high-quality teaching and learning is backed by first-class care and support for all. We are passionate about recognising and developing the individual talents of each child to help them reach their full potential.
I hope that you enjoy looking around our website—although this is only a tiny glimpse of how very special our school is.
