On behalf of our children, staff and governors, I would like to warmly welcome you our website.
We are proud to be an Outstanding Catholic school (Catholic Schools Inspectorate, February 2024), with Ofsted (2025) also recognising the exceptional quality of our pupils’ Behaviour and Attitudes and Personal Development, both judged Outstanding. These achievements reflect the strength of our school community and the high standards we strive to maintain for every child.
At St Anselm’s, we are proud of our vibrant, caring and successful school community. We place great value on building a strong partnership with families, as we believe that working closely together helps every child feel happy, supported and able to thrive both academically and personally.
As a Catholic school, our community is united in learning, praying and growing together. Our Mission Statement, rooted in Gospel values, guides everything we do and encourages our children to live with kindness, respect and a sense of responsibility for others.
Our aim is to provide a curriculum that enables every child to discover their strengths and reach their full potential. At the heart of this is our Rainbow Curriculum, which supports the development of the whole child. Alongside strong academic learning, we place equal importance on children’s wellbeing, identity, social and emotional development, physical and mental health, and spiritual growth.
Through our ‘Inspire to Aspire’ approach, children learn about inspiring people and important moments in history, helping them to become thoughtful learners, good friends and responsible citizens who are ready to make a positive contribution to society.
As Headteacher, I am privileged to lead such a special school. We are fortunate to have wonderful children, dedicated staff, and supportive parents and governors, who together create a strong and caring school family. Our commitment to high-quality teaching and learning is matched by the care and support we provide to ensure every child feels valued and confident.
I hope you enjoy exploring our website and learning more about our school, although it can only offer a small glimpse of what makes St Anselm’s such a special place to learn and grow.
Mrs Laura White
