Homework

All homework runs from Monday to Monday.

New spellings are introduced on Monday and will be available on Doodle after school that day. They will be tested the following Monday. Alternate weekly maths and English tasks will also be set on Doodle.

As well as completing assignments set by the teacher, children are asked to use the 'daily practice area' of Doodle and complete their 'X' a day activities in order to stay in the green zone.

Children are expected to read for 20 minutes and recorded in their planner at least five times per week and to play Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRS) for at least 21 minutes per week (average three minutes per day).

To summarise, children should complete 4 homework task per week:

  1. Reading
  2. Times tables rockstars
  3. Spelling
  4. English or Maths

PE

Our PE lesson takes place on Fridays with Mr Foster, so please remember to wear PE kit to school every Friday. As the weather gets colder, this will include a tracksuit to keep warm.

Ukulele

We are very lucky to have a specialist music teacher working with us on Tuesdays. We are learning the ukulele. Don't forget to bring your ukulele to school every Tuesday and practise at home every day.
