Summer term learning

We went to visit St Vincent's Church last week. We remembered all the different parts of the church very well.

We really enjoyed learning about world champion sprinter Dina Asher Smith. We wrote questions that we would like to ask her, then, after watching some videos about her, wrote factfiles.

In RE we have been learning about the Church. We made the church building and different parts of the church such as the altar, tabernacle, sanctuary light and crucifix.

After reading Handa's Surprise, we used pastels to draw some of the lovely fruit. Then we used the fruit to make fruit salad. We tried all of the fruit. It was delicious!

We know lots about how to keep healthy. You should eat lots of fruit and vegetables and try to exercise regularly. We made posters to put up in the school to help all the other adults and children.

Look at us dance! We used music by Vivaldi to dance as different animals. Can you spot us being lambs, bees and chicks?!

We are super scientists! Last week we hunted for bugs, looked at them carefully and used a chart to identify them. We also looked carefully at all the seedlings growing in the garden, and could draw and name parts of the plant.

We made some super pictures using shapes. Can you tell what they are? What shapes can you see?

Wow, we had a busy week! We did our write dance, practised our cutting skills, painted, made exciting creations with Lego, played school and much much more!

We had a super week of learning! We made the most of the sunny weather and did lots of outside learning; we planted seeds, we looked for things that were growing, we ran, we climbed, we built, we counted, we made up stories and lots more!
