SEND

At St Anselm’s we recognise and appreciate that each child is unique - both in their individual personalities and in their capacity to learn. We have high expectations of all of our children and encourage them, working closely with parents and carers, to achieve to the best of their abilities in all aspects of school life.

At St Anselm’s we can make provision for every kind of frequently occurring special educational need without a statement of special educational needs / Education, Health and Care Plan, for instance dyslexia, dyspraxia, speech and language needs, autism, asperger’s syndrome, learning difficulties and behaviour difficulties.  There are other kinds of special educational need which do not occur as frequently and with which the school is less familiar, but we can access training and advice so that these kinds of needs can be met.  The school is also able to meet the needs of pupils with a statement of special educational need / Education, Health and Care plan.

Further and more detailed information of how we identify and make provision for children with SEN in our school can be found in our SEN and Disability Policy/ SEN Information  Report document below.
