At St Anselm's we use a scheme devised within school which is based on the Kent Science Scheme of Work and follows the National Curriculum.


The scheme is taught through discrete science lessons each week. It is designed to promote the key knowledge, skills and understanding of science and to allow children opportunities to integrate literacy skills with a focus on terminology and vocabulary.


Each unit has been written to offer and make links between a range of investigative and theoretical learning. Furthermore, it promotes key scientists from all backgrounds and eras, aiming to provide role models that all children can be inspired by.
