Personal Social and Health Education and Citizenship

We provide opportunities for children to learn about themselves as developing individuals and as members of their community. We build on their experiences for personal, social and emotional development.

We have developed a PSHE programme that is taught in all year groups. Children learn the basic rules and skills for keeping themselves healthy and safe and for behaving well. They have opportunities to show they can take responsibility for themselves and their environment and by doing so make a positive contribution to all aspects of school and the wider community.

Education in Human Love Policy

Our relationship & human love education Policy follows the 2007 guidelines offered by the Catholic Education Service. We aim to provide all children at St Anselm’s with the knowledge, skills, and understanding that will enable them to accept their own and others' sexuality in positive ways and enjoy relationships based on mutual respect, dignity and responsibility, free from any abuse.
