Contact address: St. Anselm’s Catholic Primary School, Littlebrook Manorway, Dartford, DA1 5EA

Consultation process

St. Anselm’s Governing Body is its own admissions authority for St. Anselm’s Catholic Primary School.

Every seven years, an admissions authority is required to conduct a full stakeholder consultation process, even if there have not been any changes to the admission policy.

The School Admissions Code and the Code of Practice require admission authorities to consult on their admission arrangements and any supplementary information form whenever significant changes are proposed to the admission arrangements.   It is also a requirement to consult at least once every seven years even if there have been no changes during that period.

We are therefore required to undertake a public consultation on our Admissions Policy 2022-23.  In accordance with the School Admissions Code, the consultation period must run for a minimum of six weeks and take place between 1 October 2020 and 31 January 2021.

St. Anselm’s Catholic Primary School’s consultation period will run from 2 December 2020 to 13 January 2021.

The admissions authority must determine admission arrangements by 28 February 2021 and publish these on its website by 15 March 2021.

The proposed Admissions Policy and Supplementary Information Form is available below.

Who can be involved in the consultation?

We invite comments from the following groups:

  • parents of children between the ages of two and eighteen
  • other persons in the relevant area who in the opinion of the admission authority have an interest in the proposed admissions
  • all other admission authorities within the relevant area (except secondary schools)
  • whichever of the governing body and the local authority who are not the admission authority
  • any adjoining neighbouring local authorities where the admission authority is the local authority
  • the body or person representing the religion or religious denomination.

Our reason for consultation

This consultation is in accordance with the School Admissions Code and Code of Practice which states  consultations are mandatory at least once every seven years, even if there have been no changes to admissions arrangements. There are no proposed changes to the admission arrangements for 2022-23 and St. Anselm’s Catholic Primary will retain its PAN of 30.
