St Anselm's Day 2016

St Anselm is the patron saint of our school. his feast day is celebrated on 21st April. If you would like to find out more about the life of St Anselm, click on the link below to read a leaflet created by a member of Year 6.

This year, St Anselm's feast day coincided with Her Majesty the Queen's 90th birthday celebrations. A team of children from the School Council, known as 'Celebration Planners' planned a special day of celebration in school.

The day began with Mass celebrated by Fr Pat. A group of children shared Powerpoint presentations with the school about St Anselm and Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth. Each class wrote a special prayer which reflected on the life of St Anselm; this has been made into a book. Fr Pat had set a competition for the children about St Anselm. He presented the winner from each class with a prize at the end of the Mass.
